Wreck at Felton, Delaware
September, 19 1935
L1s 1390 in the water
That's big hook number 490701(?) in the foreground.
The 1390 was built by Juniata in March 1917, builders number 3211. Scrapped April 1948. Felton (is) was located at MP 58.3 (from Wilmington DE passenger station) on the PRR Eastern Region Southern Division, Delmarva Division, Delaware Railroad. Killed in the wreck was David Simpler. The pictures are from a collection of photographs by D.W. Kleinhans. I'm not sure if he is the photographer.
