Working on this one..
Ok - here is my guess as to who is Corrie - The guy with the oil can.
Why:
1. Check out that hat - he still has it on in the picture with Alco 55,
Guys typically stick with the same style hat for life - A cap wearer (like Corrie in the top photo) would have started wearing it at a young age. So if the picture with the steam engine is older (Steam was dropped by the P&BR in late 46 or early 47) Then Corrie would be younger.
2. Check the chin and nose - looks like the same guy to me?
